SCRABBLE Premium for iPad App Reviews

Have been playing with a friend for 4 years. Because of the password reset problem, we both had to create new origin accounts. Now we find there is no way to add each other as Origin friends from the app. Finally found a post on EA help site that says you can only add friends from the Origin client on a desktop. I tried installing the client on my iMac, but it crashes. Tried all troubleshooting tips but no luck. Totally frustrated. Scrabble is a good game, but only when it works.

I went thru the process to report a problem and was told to call EA. WHERE is the phone number? I’ve deleted and loaded the game numerous times but my deleted account seems to have disappeared - no stats, no friend list, total inability to start new game. Please give me some guidance.

I seem to have disappeared. No stats, no identity, no friends list...NO PLAY! Can you find my account and make me real again?

After installing the latest update, the app constantly tries to refresh games and stays there for ages as if its stuck. Eats up your battery. I hate the fact that these defective updates are mandatory.

I enjoy Scrabble, I get frustrated when something happens to the game and I can’t play.

No take back feature. Hard to move tiles around. Doesnt always accept words in other standard dictionaries: should have an override feature!

Love the game....but would make it more entertaining and educational if you could tap on a word and find out what it means too. When playing the computer, some of the words that come into play are not common words....would love to know the meaning..

Enjoy game but would enjoy having an available dictionary defining terms used by computer. Sometimes the obscure words provided are foreign even to language majors. This would add to the vocabulary acumen of the individual player. Thanks!

I am in the midst of two games with a friend, and for the past 2 weeks, the games will not appear. I try to update, and I try to "find my friends" and nothing! No friends at all!! Neither thru Face Book, nor "Origin." My friend has even tried to start a new game with me, yet still nothing. Help!!

Unbelievable! Just payed $9.99 for the Scrabble iPad app. (I had previously purchased the app for iPhone, but greedy EA makes you pay for it again, to the tune of $9.99.) When I clicked the Log in button it takes me to a page that says {"error":"invalid_request","error_description":"client_id is missing"}. When I try to close that window it just keeps opening up. This comes after a month of not being able to log in to my account due to "technical difficulties" on EAs part. I have known better...

Why in the name of all that’s traditional can I not have the green background instead of the grotesque red colour? I simply want to play the game - I don’t want the tiles to move as they’re placed, I most certainly don’t want the ridiculous sound effects and as for the teacher - what a waste of coding effort to include it - dreadful dreadful changes and I’m saddened to say I’ll not be playing it on my iPad anytime soon .

May 18, 2017 Do not upgrade, folks! Every time you look up a word in the dictionary, it re-does the annoying animation from the computers last move. --- Many words that are doubtful, country-inappropriate, unheard of and/or unable to be found. I could grudgingly live with that. Im appalled at the two letter words that are now considered to be on the approved list yet are not shown on the list. Simple programming for this, no? Yes, EA, it is very, very easy for you to do.

My origin account was hacked and EAs response was to create another account -"solved". Garbage app and garbage support. Case 33211107. I want a refund.

My son and I have played scrabble for years. After the latest mess with Scrabble when it was down for so long son had to open a new account(with new ID, of course). I cannot find him now. I deleted and reinstalled. Have tried everything I can think of. I type his new ID into the blank area in Origin but the PLAY button acts like it’s dead. What’s up? Is it me? Or is Scrabble STILL messing up?

My Scrabble has been "waiting" since the Sept 28 update. I paid for premium to avoid the ads. Now it is stuck and I cant reinstall. Please help or fix the problem. Or give me my money back.

A poor reproduction of the original. Dont buy it unless you have very low expectations. When playing a 12 turn game, there is no way to see how many turns remain! The dictionary mode should be optional, that way players could challenge each others words forcing a player who lays down an invalid word to lose their turn. Currently a player can keep laying down tiles and rely on the game to tell them if the word is valid. This is an obvious deviation from the original rules. The dictionary window SHOULD CLEAR itself between player turns. Currently, when a player uses the dictionary, the next player can see the last word the previous player was looking up. This gives the current player some insight to the previous players letters. This is a MAJOR FLAW! It would be nice if the dictionary showed the definition of words. It would be nice if the game saved scores by player name(s) as well as the actual screenshot of the final game. E.g., Greg vs Lillian: Greg won 23 games, Lillian won 35 games, etc. It would be nice if there was a way to save a picture of the board at the end of a game. If would be nice to have a feature to allow the player to undo their word. Occasionally, weve accidentally pressed play before laying down all the letters we wanted.

i love it and i love the computer games. i have learned more from the computers than anything. thank you ... good game

Connecting through Facebook to login for online games and it popped up with my wife’s email and profile password to connect. We share an Apple iTunes account but have separate emails and fb accounts on separate iPads, and do not share devices. Now Scrabble on my iPad shows the current local player is my wife, and my opponent is me. Facebook app shows me as me still. Facebook.com in safari shows her email, guessing from the scrabble authenticate, but cached password doesn’t work there because it says it is an old password.

Took two weeks for sign in to be fixed!

This game is a mess since you changed it! After being forcibly updated recently, I lost several good friends I have been playing with for years, now all names are hidden behind numbers, and I am unable to contact any of them. "play with friends" section is just a joke, as unable to enter either numbers or names. Why not? Please change this so that we can search for people under game names, not spend time looking for random players with ****** numbers ! Mysteriously I am now getting credit for past games! At first on new regime I started from scratch. I am still playing because I love Scrabble, but I hate what you have done to it. You are driving people to others such as WWF. Playing Origin, as dont want to play Facebook. Sept 29, 2017 -----Dont know the date I posted the above. Cant log into Origin now , everybody has zero scores ! What is going on? Fed up with having to start again . YOU HAVE RUINED SCRABBLE, I LOST GOOD FRIENDS AGAIN!
