Scrabble for iPad

My son and I have played scrabble for years. After the latest mess with Scrabble when it was down for so long son had to open a new account(with new ID, of course).
I cannot find him now. I deleted and reinstalled. Have tried everything I can think of. I type his new ID into the blank area in Origin but the PLAY button acts like it’s dead. What’s up? Is it me? Or is Scrabble STILL messing up?
