SCRABBLE Premium for iPad App Reviews

There are always problems with this app. I paid $9.99 for the scrabble version with no ads. But it will still shut down on me and wont work for days or weeks at a time. Just today they sent me an email that my password had been compromised and that I should reset. I did so, but it still says email and password do not match! So frustrating!!!! Its always something. What is it with the people in charge of this game??!!

I love the game, but the Origin sync has always been buggy and irritating. But I learned to live with the inconveniences. Now I have not been able to log in to Scrabble thru Origin for FOUR days! I uninstalled/reinstalled the game, reset my password and still no luck. Apparently Im not the only one with this problem based on other reviews and posts on ea.com. Some of those complaints date back almost a week! Unacceptable amount of time to resolve this issue.

I and my sister are unable to sign in. User name or password invalid even though they have not been changed. Even the Geek Squad couldnt solve the problem so it isnt our iPads, but rather the Scrabble program. Please fix. We paid for the deluxe version

Never works. Cant login via account anymore. Only via Facebook, cant seem to start three people game via Facebook. Sucks.

Last few days cannot log in from iPad. Error message saying incorrect email or password, yet can use the same login info on android Am using latest version of app. Tried using EA help website but not very user-friendly at all, just keep going around in circles. Still cannot log in on Ipad, Android version is fine.

This app is replete with operational hassles but Scrabble is always fun.

Anyone else not able to log in? Does not recognize email or password that I know are correct. Can sign into Origin web site just fine. Was contacted by developer and they are working the issue. Thanks

Been playing for years with family through origin. It appears EA does not want us to play through Origin just not directly telling us. Easy to sign up with Facebook not with origin. Reading lots of complaints about this! Why arent you fixing it? I dont have or want Facebook! So I guess I no longer have scrabble. If Im missing something please let me know!

Repeated Scrabble glitches make it too frustrating to bother with. Now I cant log on at all. Says I have sent an incorrect email or password. I have entered both correctly multiple times. This has been going on for several days.

This is a totally maddening app. Its like a parody created to demonstrate all the things that can be devised for the purpose of driving users round the bend into frustration and madness. Always something new going wrong. Currently it refuses to recognize my password. Changed the password, still I cant log on. Then I get alerts urging me to "show off my word skills" by playing. Why cant the program just function in a stable and reliable fashion?? And I paid money for the premium version!

Scrabble logged me, cant sign back in; invalid email or password. Have reset password, deleted and reinstalled app, still cant login. One of my friends I play with also has same error. Please fix your app.

Years later and now totally useless. Waste of time. Shame on ea Online Scrabble games through EAs Origin server have been broken for 3+ days. Easy enough to fork over cash to EA to buy this game--that isnt a problem. However when something breaks there is no way of knowing if there is a problem, a way to report the problem, or a way to find if EA is working to resolve the issues. Unless you like talking to walls when this game breaks, it is best to save your money and steer clear of this mess. When working game cant be beat... However as of late tis is not the case.

I play Scrabble quite often, however it continuously logs me out of Origin, doesnt notify me half the time when a move has been made. Have a badge of 1 on Scrabble app for the longest time even when no move was made. This has been going on for quite something, at least 2-3 years. Update: Now Origin Login isnt even working within the Scrabble game. Cant reach my games. I know I am using the right login info because I can log into Origins website. Please get this fixed!

This app has been problematic on and off for years. But as of right now, September 2017, the app is totally broken. For months the app has required logging into the origin server every few days. Now, the origin server is responding by saying the username and password dont exist— despite the fact that I can go directly to origin.com and login using the same credentials. Naturally, there seems no way to contact EA about this problem. How many days or weeks or months are we going to need to wait for this problem to be fixed?

Only play with one friend and for the last 2 days it tells me my email/ password is not correct ( it most definitely is). Also games appear doubled. While I enjoy scrabble Words with Friends has way less problems Gail Davis

Here we go again!!! Now, cannot play a random game, this is crazy. I play Words with friends also, and never had these issues. It seems you have somewhat fixed the connection issues, and now cant play a random game. Please work on all of your issues, this is not right, been going on for years. I wrote the previous in July, it is now the 5th of August, and still cannot start a random game. Please fix this!!! Well, it worked for awhile, now on September 16, 2017, it is not working again. The other site works, but has ads, and keeps freezing!!! Here we go again

I cannot log in - says my user ID and/or password are wrong! Another friend is having the same issue. Do you even read these reviews? Do you even care that your game is full of bugs? I do not think you do!

The app does not recognize my log on information either. Just stopped working today.

September 2017- rev. A Moved to four stars. Notifications seem to work now (although they dod not seem to when I first updated.) Game seems stable. Load time are better. Still cannot see move list after a game has ended. This is why I cannot give five stars. September 2017 The latest version seems more stable, load times have not been has bad. But it is too early to tell for sure. Notifications seem to be working now. I will give this latest version a few more weeks, if I do not have to reload and it does not hang when loading I may bump my review up a few stars. May 2017 Still broken. Still needs constant reloading from the app store. Still no notification. Clunky interface. Slow to load. Latest update April2017 Notifications are still broken. Still have to delete and re-install weekly. Each update breaks MORE things. This game worked much better a year ago. Wish I could give zero or negative stars. Latest update Feb2017 Notifications have stopped working. Once a game has completed I can no longer see the moves list or read the chat log. Still have to re-install occasionally, and still taking way too long to load and connect. The amount of data that needs to be exchanged between the server and the app is trivial. WHY is this app so slow? Review down to one star, since the latest updates broke more things than they fixed. Latest update Nov2016 Game hangs waiting for updates. I have to delete it and reinstall every couple of weeks. Latest update 1May2016: The program is still a resource pig, I have to shut all other apps on my iPad to get it to load. It still takes a long time to load... odd since this is a dedicated app with local storage. It would be nice to be able to see the moves list after the game ends. The moves list become inaccessible as soon as someone goes out. Update on the latest version. The network is much better now, I have increased my rating by one star. The app seems to be a pig, I have to close most other apps on my ipad to get it to load. I do not like the new trash talking notifications, a simple "such and such has played" would do. The screen seems cluttered, and I do not like the board sliding back and forth. I wish they would quit changing the fonts, they are not bad, but they are no better. I find the constant tweaking annoying. ---- This is an update to my old review. The network issues are getting bad so I have removed 3 stars. The app takes a long time to "update" nearly every time I open it. It often will not connect with Facebook to retrieve current games without multiple tries. Lastly, the app crashes instantly on my iPad Air unless I have nearly every other app is closed. Scrabble is not a complicated game to run on a computer and the amount of server data is minimal. What the heck is this app doing? The pop up ads on the paid version are gone for now, so I have added several more stars to my rating. There are several minor issues that still need work. I was unable to play with friends outside the USA last time I tried. The licensing folks need to work some sort of deal to allow this. Notifications and player status do not always automatically update for some reason. I do not understand the "muting" of the chat feature, this is lawyer stuff I am sure, but I told the app my age so the mute should not be on be default. The dev team seems to break as much stuff as they fix, the design team seems to improve about as much stuff as they ruin. But after years, they finally have a fairly well polished app. I will give it five stars in hopes that they leave it alone! ------ The app itself is quite good. I like the teach mode, computer game play is good, I like the ability to select dictionaries and I love playing with friends, family, and even random opponents. I wish it had the ability to bluff, but I understand the difficulty of implementing such a feature. The reason for the low rating is the pop up ads that started with the last update. I bought the paid version to avoid the pop up ads. I feel cheated. I would also add that it has recently been unavailable for two weeks.
