SCRABBLE Premium for iPad App Reviews

Hi, I purchased scrabble years ago, now I could not connect on Facebook. So I deleted the first app then connected again, and it was not my purchased app, so I got too many ads. And lost all my previous players. Now I am playing again on the new app.

So this was my message from a year ago. "I paid $13.49 for this game, upgrading from my previous Scrabble for iPad version that was no longer working. After a month this version, too, no longer allows me to play with friends, only against the computer. I get the message, "cant connect to server" or the refreshing games page just spins interminably. I contacted the Help folks and got a personal phone call within 30 seconds of sending my request for assistance. Basically was told theres nothing they can do to help, that maybe a future update will fix the problem. Granted I am playing on iPad2 so I understand it may be old technology. But it would be helpful to be told that Scrabble only works for later model iPads. I rarely buy an app but when I do I expect it to work. Sorry, EA, this app gets one star for trying and thats only for your quick response to my email request for help." Happy to say with my new iPad Im enjoying the game again. Yesterday the app reverted to its old problem - cant get on with friends, etc. however I deleted the app and restored it from the cloud. All is well again. I see that the update done on June 21 was to fix the same problem Id had. Too bad it continues to happen.

I just got my IPAD as a gift & am disappointed that I cant sync with my Scrabble on my phone, but it is a good & satisfying experience.

the free app is a waste of time. pay for the full app to void the ads.

How do I delete this app?????

The updates seem to have fixed the connectivity issues I was experiencing since mid-March. Occasionally, an opponents play will show up has having scored twice and letters from a more recent move dont show up at all. But these issues seem to self-correct after closing and re-opening the game. The notify feature is still inconsistent. Sometimes it doesnt reflect the actual number of games awaiting my next play. I appreciate the fact that the app uses the "Official Scrabble Players Dictionary" which is the authority for competitive tournaments. A small quibble: I wish the "next game" option would jump to the oldest rather than the most recently played of open games.

This app crashes on me all the time. Ive had to reinstall it too many times to count! I also play Words with Friends and Ive never had an issue with that...which is frustrating because I prefer Scrabble over Words with Friends! Hopefully you will get these fixed! Otherwise, I love the app?

This is a great app in every way - love the teacher! Wish teachers expression would change with the quality of the play like it used to. Love the nice big board with easy to manipulate tiles. I also love that you see what you may score as you begin lining up tiles. There is a new bug where if you look at the 2-letter words or check to see if a word is a valid play, when you go back to the board, your play is reset as if you just opened the app. All your tiles for the play go back to your side, and any nudges display again.

1). The dictionary doesnt give the actual definitions of words, it only tells you if they are real words. 2). This app often hijacks the sounds on my iPad and the only way to get back seems to be to completely reboot my ipad. If they would fix this two items, I would give them five stars. As it is Id give them 2.5. (C grade)

Always needs you to sign in. Always boots your game. THEN forces me to rate them?!? I paid for this game, dont hassle me, and make this thing stable. Still continues to hassle me to rate them. This game is fumbling and irritating how they extort my rating. UPDATE: 1 year later and this game is still unstable and poorly supported. Dont pay for the "pro" version. Most times, sign in wont work, game screens always force a reload if you switch between active apps. This is a very obvious case of an Orphaned IPad app.

To get the version without the adds, was suffering with the free version for years and the never ending adds, now after a small one time fee I am address, heaven,

Been playing the premium ad free app for years, all of a sudden, since last update, every time I open the app I have to re log in thru FB and also I now have ads. I cant get in touch with anyone. Ive posted numerous complaints and no one has addressed this. Ive deleted and reloaded the app numerous times. What a pain and no relief in sight. EAs customer service is non existent.

Ive been playing for 4 years and love it. An improvement would be if the letters were 100% random. I have to delete the app and reinstall approx every 2 weeks because it keeps spinning. Thankfully I dont lose my games.

Easy and fun to use, especially with kids, great learning tool.

Finally, this paid version has stopped quitting every single time I tried to play against the computer. This had been going on for several weeks. Thanks for fixing whatever it was. It made for a maddening experience, even though it worked fine against other players. I assume thats whats meant by some reviews dissing the server.

Charged me the first time, then old version did not update to new iPad. Charged me all over again. Only this time far more expensive. Now that I have paid them so i can quietly play the game they keep harassing me every few days to give them a rating. Oh well. Maybe it will stop now. The game may be fine. Its scrabble, its been around for many, many years. Why the need for a rating? So in closing their business model is abusive, but the game works, almost as good as the original. There is no exercise with this one as you dont have to bend over when you pick a tile up off the floor.

If one didnt have problems with your app every other week, you would get better ratings!

Great game and I love the side-bar chat function. Only drawback is the 50% power drain on my ipad.

It has a lot of glitches. I have uninstalled twice and reinstalled to no avail.
