Cant add friends on Origin

I love Scrabble, but this app has so many flaws. There always seems to be something going wrong. The latest problem is that I cant find or add friends on Origin. Recently, I was forced to change my user name and password. So, I now have a whole new account and no way to add friends whom I have been playing with for years. There is no help or explanation within the app. I would not recommend this app.
