Player ratings?

Now when I enter a game against a real player I cannot determine the players rating until I accept the game and am stuck.

Since matching levels is pretty much hit-or-miss , I wind up with wildly mismatched opponents, sometimes off by 1000 points. No fun there, and unfair to all

Server connection is spotty(wifi ok)

Please let me know something about my opponent before I accept a game, just as I could before.
